⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

We all enjoyed our nights at Svea’s place. The location is private and quiet. The bed is probably the best one I have ever had as the mattress and linen are so comfy! We all have a very good sleep so we could rest up and get up early to start our journey in the Lake District. Svea also introduced us with her little farm and her lovely sheep and rescued chicken. It’s been a great break!

Recently my wife, daughter and I fully enjoyed a stay at Penny End. The owner was very helpful and showed great hospitality. The comfort in the accommodation is also 10 out of 10. Penny End has a great, quiet location, one can go for walks from the cottage but it is also easy to have a drive or a ride on the bike. We would certainly recommend to spend a holiday here.

We had a great time at Penny End, and Svea was a great host. A lovely quiet cottage in a beautifully peaceful part of the lakes, handy for Loweswater and Crummock as well as Cockermouth but Keswick is only 20 mins drive away. The cottage was one of the best airbnbs we have stayed in and Svea was lovely and even allowed us to feed her lambs with her. We will definitely be back next time we are that side of the Lakes.

What a wonderful weekend! Penny End is attractive, comfortable, and spotlessly clean with everything one might need. The location is superb - quiet and tucked out the way, but with one of the finest views in Cumbria just a short walk from the door. Svea is a lovely, attentive host who knows how to make guests welcome without overcrowding them. As we were there in lambing season, hand feeding the orphan lambs was a must, and fresh eggs from Svea’s hens made a delightful breakfast. We hope to be back soon!

We had a wonderful stay at Svea’s farm house. The place was very cosy and in a lovely country setting. Small fire place and board games were a highlight for us, along with having Svea invite us to help feed her baby lambs! Great location just outside of Cockermouth which has everything you need. Would highly recommend this place for your next trip to the Lake District - 10/10.

We had a fantastic stay at Penny End Cottage. Svea is a fantastic host and the cottage was cosy and spotlessly clean.

The surrounding area was stunning, with less busy fells on the doorstep.

Cockermouth is only a short drive away for the big supermarket and eateries.

We will definitely be back to visit soon!
